National Engine Depot – Core Return Policy
Please read the following policy carefully to ensure a smooth and successful core return process.
Core Return Deadline
It is your responsibility to schedule your core return within 15 days of receiving your product.
If a return is not scheduled within this period, you may be charged a core non-return fee.
Cores are eligible for credit up to 6 months from the original delivery date.
Shipping and Documentation
National Engine Depot provides a prepaid Bill of Lading (BOL) for your core return. This document is generated electronically and will be emailed to you after you request a return.
- The BOL must be printed and presented to the freight driver at the time of pickup.
- We will only schedule a pickup after you confirm that the BOL has been received, printed, and is included with the returning unit.
Pickup Attempts and Penalties
If a pickup attempt is made and your freight is not ready, additional charges of up to $300 may be billed to you.
If you do not have the proper BOL at the time of pickup:
- Do not handwrite a BOL
- Do not reuse an old BOL
- Instead, please contact us immediately at sales@nationalenginedepot.com
Any shipment handed off to a carrier without a valid National Engine Depot BOL will be at your own expense.
Pickup Timing and Delays
Please note the following about carrier pickups:
- Carriers may attempt pickup within 48 business hours of the scheduled date
- Pickup delays may occur if your location is considered indirect or if a lift gate is required
- If no pickup attempt is made within this timeframe, email us to reschedule promptly to avoid further delay
Special accommodations (e.g., limited access, hours, equipment needs) must be communicated in advance. Failure to notify us may result in delays.
Proof of Pickup
You must retain a signed copy of the Bill of Lading as your official proof that the core was returned.
If the core is not received and you cannot provide proof of pickup, you will be held responsible for the cost of the core.
